Job Description

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Sr Accountant will maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares general ledger entries, as well as maintains records and files.
  • Review Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering information from the general ledger system and various departments.
  • Prepares account reconciliations; analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verify information as necessary.
  • Analyzes individual & total company expenses, including comparisons to provide forecasts and trends.
  • Corresponds with various departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
  • Prepares, examines, or analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses, or to provide advice.
  • Prepare and file various Sales & Use taxes for various states.
  • Assist in Documenting and monitoring internal controls.
  • Performs other ad hoc duties as directed or assigned by the Controller or CFO.
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $75,000-85,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a monthly cell phone allowance of $50.00.
